FSU Duo Implementation Guide - App Download

Duo Frequently Asked Questions

What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication is an extra layer of password protection. You will be asked to verify yourself after using your Frostburg State credentials to log in. This double later of protection works to prevent hacking and phishing incidents. Every time your credentials are used to log in, you will receive either an app push notification or other method to your selected device to validate yourself. If someone tries to use your credentials, you will get a notification and can deny them access.

What are the benefits of Duo Authentication?

Your FSU account will be more secure. In addition to security, your password will expire every year instead of every three months.

What should I expect after enrolling?

When logging into your FSU account, you will be prompted for two-factor authentication. You can then receive a push notification to the Duo app on your device which you can approve or deny as applicable.
